Rajasthan is the largest state in India with 342,239 square kilometers of land mass which is 10.4% of India’s geographical area with the seventh largest state by population.
Rajasthan means the lands of kings and shares a very interesting history and cultural identity in India.

Amber Fort, Jaipur

Located on a Scenic hill, Amber Fort is a 17th Century monument that is not only beautiful but also engulfs an amazing historical value. It is located at a distance of 11 Km from Jaipur City.
It was built by Raja Man Singh of Amer and is also known for its perfect amalgamation of Hindu and Muslim architecture. It is situated next to Maota Lake which adds charm to the fort and makes it one of the most visited monuments in India.

City Palace, Jaipur

City Palance was built by Raja Sawal Jai Singh, a Rajput ruler of the Amer Region. The amazing fact about his place is that still to this day, royal families stay.
The City Palace also has three museums with arms and armament, carpets and furniture, and clothing and accessories of the royal families.
The palace complex has a UNESCO World Heritage Site monument, Jantar Mantar, which is a famous observatory.

Chittorgarh Fort, Chittorgarh

Chittorgarh Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its many brave stories attached to it. Commissioned in the 7th Century, Chittorgarh fort has seven gates with a lot to explore like Rani Padmini Palace, Ratan Singh’s Palace, Badal Mahal, and a three-storied white sandstone Rani Padmavati Palace.
Located on the banks of the Berach river the fort is at 590 feet tall hill and is one of the largest forts in India.

Ranthambore Fort, Sawai Madhopur

Located in the Ranthambore National Park, Ranthambore Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site that is a landmark for Rajasthan Tourism.
It is situated 5Km inside the Ranthambore National Park. The fort also offers an awe-inspiring view of the three lakes that are situated there.
The other tourist attractions inside the fort include the Ganesha Temple, Shiva Temple, and Ramlalji Temple which are carved with 12th and 13th-century AD Karauli stones.

Hawa Mahal, Jaipur

Perhaps the most famous Mahal in India, Hawa Mahal is located on the busy streets of Jaipur. Famously known for its 953 honeycombed hive windows.
It is the most visited monument in Rajasthan and depicts the Rajputana Lifestyle in a true light. The mahal also goes by the name of ‘Palace of Winds,’ the Hawa Mahal is an exquisite amalgamation of Hindu and Mughal styles of architecture.

Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur

The Mehrangarh Fort was built by Rao Jodha in 1459, the fort is spread across an area of 5 km. It is situated at an altitude of around 400 meters above sea level on a rocky cliff.
There are seven gates built by different kings in different periods for symbolizing victory. The fort has a museum that displays a collection of palanquins, clothes, accessories, musical instruments, and royal costumes and armaments.

Jaisalmer Fort, Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer Fort is yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site commissioned in the year 1156 AD by Chati Clan ruler Rao Jaisal.
The fort is engulfed in the rich history and wonderful architecture of 11th-century elegance of a fusion of Rajput and Islamic architectural styles.
The Jaisalmer Fort region was once part of the silk route before the arrival of the Britishers making it a prominent location if you are a history enthusiast.

Kumbhalgarh Fort, Udaipur

Located at the foothills of the Aravalli mountain range and surrounded by thirteen hill peaks, Kumbhalgarh fort is an architectural marvel.
It also has the second-longest wall in the world after the Great Wall of China. It was built 700 years ago and is still intact with its history and beauty.

Junagarh Fort, Bikaner

Built-in 1588 AD by Raja Rai Singh, the fort is a testimony of Rajputana architecture. The Junagarh Fort in Bikaner is the best location if you are a tourist.
The beautiful fort is constructed on hilltops in the heat of Bikaner City. There had been several attempts to capture this fort by the invaders, however, this fort never fell into their hands of them.

Dilwara Jain Temple, Mount Abu

Mount Abu is the only hill station in Rajasthan which is located about 2.5 Km away from Mount Abu. The Dilwara Temple is a magnificent heritage site consisting of five temples.
There are old pictures on the ceiling of the Shri Mahaveer Temple, which narrate the rich Jain culture and ancient art. The temple dates back to the 11th -12th century AD and is among the signification pilgrimage site.
