How Do I Transfer Money from SBI to an SBI account?

Transfer money is a core banking activity that every bank provides. It becomes even more convenient when the transfer is within the bank as the bank can locate the receiver’s account fast.

To use an online method of fund transfer, you can use net banking and mobile banking. The following are the step by step instructs on how to transfer funds SBI to SBI account online-

SBI Net Banking

  • Visit the official website of SBI Net Banking Portal and click on the personal banking tab
  • Now, login to your account using your login credentials i.e. User ID and Password
  • After logging in, navigate to the payment/transfer tab and click to open the payment transfer page
  • Now, click on the “Add & Manage Beneficiary” followed by clicking on the “SBI Beneficiary” button
  • A page will appear where you have to enter the beneficiary account number, Bank IFSC Code, etc.
  • After entering the details simply click on the confirm button followed by entering the High-security password sent on your registered mobile number
  • The beneficiary has been added successfully and you’ll now begin the payment transfer process
  • After clicking on the payment tab, click on the “Account of Others within SBI” button followed by choosing the type of transactions- NEFT, RTGS, or IMPS
  • Now, it is important to add beneficiary before you initiate any transfers
  • Select the beneficiary you want to transfer the funds to followed by entering the amount of fund transfer and clicking on the submit button
  • Now, verify the payment transfer and click on the submit button followed by entering the OTP or High-Security password in the given field and clicking on submit button
  • Your funds have been transferred to the beneficiary account successfully and you’ll find the transaction details on the screen

SBI Mobile Banking-SBI YONO

  • Download and install the SBI YONO app on your device followed by logging into the app using your login credentials
  • After logging in, navigate to the SBI YONO Pay button and click on it
  • There are different payment transfer methods like- SBI BHIM UPI, SBI Quick Pay, SBI Bank Transfer

SBI Quick Pay

  • You can choose the SBI Quick pay option from the list to transfer the funds faster but, there is a limit of Rs.25,000/-
  • Now, select the beneficiary account i.e. SBI followed by selecting the existing SBI beneficiary account or entering a new beneficiary into the list
  • After selecting the beneficiary, you’ll have to enter the amount you want to transfer and click on the Next button
  • Review the payment transfer request and click on the Next button
  • An OTP will be sent on your Registered mobile number which you have to enter in the relevant field
  • After entering the OTP, your funds will be transferred successfully

SBI BHIM UPI

  • For funds transferring using BHIM UPI, click on the BHIM UPI button
  • If you have not registered for UPI activation, you can simply click on the retrieve/create UPI Profile
  • Now, Select the mobile number sim connected to your SBI bank followed by sending an SMS from your RMN to the bank for verifying the mobile number
  • Now, select the account from the drop-down that you want to connect with your bank account
  • Enter your debit card details for connecting your bank account from UPI followed by confirming it by entering the OTP send on your number
  • Now, set the UPI MPIN to use the BHIM UPI
  • Your UPI ID has been created successfully and to initiate the fund transfer navigate to the UPI dashboard followed by entering the bank account tab
  • Now, enter the beneficiary account number and IFSC Code of the bank followed by entering the amount you want to transfer
  • Now, click on the Next button and enter the UPI PIN that you’ve set
  • Your payment will be transferred successfully

SBI Bank Transfer

  • You can use the Bank transfer button to initiate the fund transfer by clicking on the SBI button
  • A new page will appear asking for the type of transaction to choose from-IMPS, NEFT, or RTGS
  • Choose accordingly and click on the Next button
  • On the next page, you’ll find the list of beneficiaries that you can transfer funds from or add new beneficiaries by clicking on the “SBI Beneficiary” button
  • A page will appear where you have to enter the beneficiary account number, Bank IFSC Code, etc.
  • After entering the details simply click on the confirm button followed by entering the High-security password sent on your registered mobile number
  • The beneficiary has been added successfully and you’ll now begin the payment transfer process

SBI ATM to ATM

You can also transfer funds using an ATM from your bank account to the other account. The following are the step by step instructions on transferring funds using ATM Machine-

  • Visit the nearest SBI ATM and insert your ATM card to initiate the fund transfer
  • Click on the preferred language that you want to choose
  • Now, enter your debit card pin and click on the “Yes” button
  • From the main menu choose the fund transfer option followed by entering beneficiary details like account number, name, etc.
  • Choose the type of account Savings account or current account option
  • Now, enter the amount you want to transfer and click on the correct followed by yes button
  • An OTP will be sent to your mobile number, enter the OTP in the given field and click on the submit button
  • Your payment transfer request will be processed and on successful transfer, your account will be debited the transfer amount and your beneficiary will receive the funds
