Documents Required

The following are the documents required for Baal Aadhaar enrollment-

  • Either of the parents or legal guardian has to provide their Aadhaar card for registration of the child Aadhaar card
  • A birth certificate of the child, hospital discharge papers is required to establish the identity of the child with parents.

How to apply for a Baal Aadhaar card?

The Aadhaar card application process can be done both using online and offline means.

Online Method for Baal Aadhaar Application

The following are the step by step methods for applying for Baal Aadhaar Card-

  • Visit the official website of UIDAI by following this link-
  • Now navigate to the Aadhaar online services tab
  • After the tab opens, you have to log in to the system using your mobile number or email Id
  • An OTP will be sent by UIDAI which you have to fill in the empty field
  • Now, you are logged in to your Aadhaar services site
  • Here click on the new enrollment option and fill in the details like name, age, gender, etc. and click on save and proceed
  • Then a new page with an appointment booking option will come where you have to fill in the appointment details at your convenience time and date. Your online appointment will be booked.
  •  Now, you have to download the appointment letter and carry it with your while visiting the Aadhaar enrollment center along with the original documents mentioned above

Offline Method for Baal Aadhaar Application

The following are the step by step methods for applying for Baal Aadhaar Card-

  • Visit the nearest enrollment center and get the enrollment form
  • Fill the enrollment form with correct information. The parents of the child have to link their Aadhaar card number with the Baal Aadhaar
  • A photograph of the child will be taken but, no biometric data will be taken
  • After the end of the process, you will be provided with an acknowledgment slip
  • The Aadhaar card of the child will be sent to your home address within 60 days of the process completion. You will be notified using SMS.

Check Aadhaar Status

It is important to check for the Aadhaar status and UIDAI provides you an easy method to keep track of your Aadhaar card. The following are the steps that you need to follow to check for the Aadhaar status-

  • Visit the official website of UIDAI and navigate to the check status page
  • Now, enter your 28 digit SRN number that you have received after successful registration of the Baal Aadhaar
  • Now, you have to fill in the UID code that is mentioned on the acknowledgment form and proceed with further on-screen instruction
  • Click on the submit button and your Aadhaar status will be shown
